Bring the Light in 2019!

Bring the Light in 2019

Many people start the New Year with intentions to improve some aspect of their lives.  It might be to have better health, improve relationships, sleep more, exercise more, lose weight, get a new job, learn a language, read more, travel more, live more in the moment, etc.  The list is endless.   No matter what it is that you want to achieve in life, you must expend some energy to make the changes required to reach those goals.

So where does this energy come from?  From within you!  And the most important way that you generate energy is from the motion of your spine.  Each vertebra connects to the one above and below by joints.  We have over 100 joints just within our vertebral column.  The main purpose of the spine is to generate energy for the brain to work at its best.  That happens via the joint receptors firing off every time those joints move.  So, every step you take, every move you make, stimulates and tones the brain.  Whenever you move (if your spine is aligned properly) you are generating a ton of healing and stimulating energy to your brain.  Your spine is like a giant windmill. This helps your cognition, memory, creativity and ENERGY.  This is how you make dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and many other hormones and chemicals that make you feel good.

If your spine is not moving properly, this is most likely due to subluxation. The word “subluxation” comes from the Latin words meaning “to dislocate” (luxare) and “somewhat” or “slightly” (sub). So, the term “vertebral subluxation” literally means a slight dislocation (misalignment) of the bones in the spine. Another way of understanding the word “subluxation” is to recognize the word-roots “sub,” meaning “below” and “lux,” meaning “light,” which is the physiological expression of life. Life is light or electricity going through the nervous system animating our bodies, keeping us alive.

If you want more energy, a healthier brain, and to achieve your goals in the New Year - move more and get adjusted regularly.  Those are the two best things I know of to improve your health and life!
